Become a Performer at Quiz Worx

Quiz Worx is looking for people to join our team to help us share Jesus with kids everywhere, primarily through performing creative live shows in schools, churches and communities all around Australia.

Quiz Worx’ focus is on faithfully presenting Jesus to kids in ways they can understand. Our dream is to perform a show in every primary aged school across NSW and Qld. In order to do this, we require passionate and dedicate people to join our team as live performers (who can also help us create high quality videos and resources).

The role:

Performer – Permanent Part/Full Time (multiple positions available)

We are looking for permanent Performers to join our team. This role will include:

• Sharing Jesus through performing live puppet shows (especially in schools) throughout Australia;
• Helping us create engaging and Biblically faithful digital resources;
• Working in a team of highly motivated people;
• Using your gifts and abilities to serve Quiz Worx as we seek to serve the church.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A deep passion to know Jesus and make Him known, especially to kids.
• A Mature Christian faith and active involvement in a Christian Church.
• The equivalent of at least one year of full-time theological study
• A teachable attitude and desire to learn and embrace the Quiz Worx style of teaching & presenting - experience with puppetry and performing is helpful, but not a requirement as long as you’re willing to learn.
• A willingness to travel and tour around Australia.
• The ability to work well within a team.
• A proactive approach to work and strong organisational skills.
• While not a requirement, having one or more of these skills are a plus:
  • Drawing/Illustrating
  • Handyman skills
  • Video Production (Filming/Editing/etc)
  • Musical Ability
  • Pastoral Care
  • Experience teaching SRE/RI

This is a 3-5 day a week position, based in either Sydney or the Gold Coast.

This is a support-raising role and Performers will be tasked with raising 80%+ of your remuneration each year. Quiz Worx will provide training and support to help you in this.
