Who We Are

Quiz Worx exists to share Jesus with kids everywhere. We do this in three key ways:
  1. Presenting the Good News of the Bible through performing creative live shows for kids, especially in state schools.
  2. Resourcing and equipping others to faithfully proclaim Jesus to children.
  3. Ministering to Christian children within the wider Christian community.

Our number one priority is not just our first priority - it is our main priority. We love to share Jesus with kids in schools, especially state schools, encouraging them to read the Bible and further explore Jesus for themselves.

History

Quiz Worx was formed in 1998 as a part-time ministry. We consisted of two humans (Matt Gorton and Simon Jessup) and two puppets (Scruff and Blue Bottle).

From that time, and in God’s grace, the team and ministry have grown. Quiz Worx is now a full-time ministry with a team of around 20 permanent people, numerous volunteers (especially at Christmas) and a whole lot of puppet characters.

Quiz Worx takes the responsibility of sharing Jesus with kids very seriously. Consequently, all permanent performers have completed (or are working towards) at least one year of full-time Bible College training.

Since 1998 Quiz Worx have had the privilege of performing more than 6,000 shows, for more than 750,000 people. We use the mediums of puppetry, music, chalk talks, animations, storytelling, drama, quick draw, comics, and numerous other tools to present the Good News.

Training people in faithful and creative children’s ministry is yet another aspect that Quiz Worx takes seriously. We do this in a number of different ways, from training people in local churches and school ministries through one-off seminars, to running whole day training days, to training up Christmas volunteers, to our new Intern Program (launched in 2019). Training others in sharing Jesus with kids is a great privilege.

Quiz Worx also is involved in a number of discipleship ministries to children. This occurs through church services, church camps and conferences.
